Pool renovations can be a challenge, and this Coral Gables pool restoration was no exception! The gunite walls were compromised in multiple places, creating leaks as well as seawater to contamination.
Stripped down to the bones, Abascal Pools was able to completely restore the foundation while improving the look and feel of the pool. Clear communication, which means keeping clients informed through the good and the bad of a pool renovation, is what sets us apart from other Miami-Dade pool contractors.
Ranging from 6" to 5' deep, this gunite pool was finished with white plaster and natural stone pool coping. The homeowners selected turf as the deck surface for a natural look.
Nested within a corner of the deep end is a "hot tub" that can hold up to eight people comfortably. Swim spas are perfect in the cooler months and can be heated independently of the main pool.
One of the most requested features in new pool construction are tanning ledges. These shallow, flat areas are not only a great place to lounge, but are also perfect for small children. We also hear them referred to as Baja shelfs and sun shelfs.
Most clients opt for a tile along the waterline. The blue glass mosaic tile tile selected here is beautiful, durable and very easy to clean. Grout color can either match or contrast the tile and pool surface.
This underwater ledge gives bathers a place to sit and relax in the deep end while also providing an easier way to exit the pool.
